Tomato To Treat Hyperpigmentation, Dark Spots On Your Face

Tomato is a remarkable superfood with benefits for both health and beauty. Its antioxidants and nutrients contribute to achieving flawless and blemish-free skin. In this post, I will share effective do-it-yourself (DIY) treatments using tomatoes to reduce facial scars.

DIY #1 – Tomato + Turmeric for Hyperpigmentation

Ingredients:

  • 3 teaspoons of Tomato paste
  • ½ teaspoon of Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Orange juice

 

Instructions:

  1. Combine tomato paste, turmeric, and orange juice to create a smooth paste.
  2. Apply the tomato pack to the affected area and leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing off.
  3. The bleaching properties of tomatoes lighten dark areas, especially around the mouth and hyperpigmentation.
  4. Vitamin C and citric acid in orange juice contribute to even-toned skin.
  5. Turmeric’s skin-brightening properties effectively combat hyperpigmentation.

 

DIY #2 – Tomato + Lemon for Dark Spots

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of Tomato pulp
  • 1 teaspoon of Honey
  • 1 teaspoon of Lemon juice

 

Instructions:

  1. Mix tomato pulp, honey, and lemon juice to create a smooth paste.
  2. Apply the mixture to your face and neck, leaving it on for 15 minutes before washing off with cold water.
  3. Use this face pack every alternate day until dark spots vanish.
  4. The skin-bleaching properties of tomatoes and lemon juice lighten dark spots.
  5. Honey effectively works on blemishes, leaving your skin glowing.

Note: If your skin is sensitive to lemon, you can substitute orange juice.

 

DIY #3 – Tomato for Active Acne

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of Tomato paste
  • Tea tree oil
  • 1 teaspoon of Honey

 

Instructions:

  1. Mix tomato paste, a few drops of tea tree oil, and honey to form a paste.
  2. Apply the tomato and tea tree oil paste to your face, focusing on acne-prone areas. Let it dry for 15 minutes before rinsing off.
  3. Use this pack daily until the pimple is gone.
  4. The antibacterial and antifungal properties of tomato pulp prevent pimples, while tea tree oil’s antiseptic properties combat acne-causing bacteria.
